Third day!

We have started the morning as spectators of a sports tournament between three schools, including the school where we are doing the job shadowing.

Then we have met the headmaster of rhe school. She was very interested in our bilingual reality there in Catalonia! And she has told me how studebts can enter jnjversity after passing some exams thar were hapenning right now!

T
hen we went to the municipal library, which is an impressive building with many areas and many resources. I would like to highlight the children's book area that has been built on what was an old stable and an old corn barn. It's also very impressive the library terrace and the views of the harbour. Inside the library there are rooms that can be used by schools in the area if they need it. They also collaborate with private schools in the transfer of books for loan. And the collaboration that has seemed most interesting to me with public schools is the "summer book": the public library recommends a series of books, which it sends to public schools, so that students receive these recommendations and if they want to participate in this kind of contest they have to read five books during the summer of all those that are recommended, They can borrow athem t the library or they can acquire ithem by thenselves and if they read those five books, or more, then they receive a book as a prize.  Last year the municipal library gave out 450 books in prizes!
